Greetings Waverly Place Community!
We have survived one of the hottest summers ever, and I know that you’re excitedly
welcoming the arrival of fall! Our trees are beginning to shed their leaves, and most are
changing into beautiful autumn colors.
Congratulations to the Thurston family on the birth of their new grandson, Adonis!
Also, please keep the Larking family in prayer. Mr. Eddie Larking passed away. Mr. Eddie
is one of the original home owners in this subdivision.
Condolences and prayers go out to our neighbor, Dr. Sandra Fingall, on the passing of her mother, Mrs. Hazel E. King.
Thanks to all of our homeowners that paid their annual HOA dues this year. The Board has been working diligently to enhance our front entrance sign. Phase I of the project was professionally completed, thanks to Mr. Zane Walker. We are now asking everyone to pay their $150.00 HOA dues so that Phase II can move forward. Please note: we did
not increase dues to fund these improvements - we are relying on timely payments from each homeowner to cover both the project and our regular monthly expenses. Your support is essential to maintaining the quality of our community.
We hope that the paying home owners were able to review the End of Year 2024 Financial Report that was published in August. Please contact the HOA President if you need a copyof the report .
A few friendly reminders:
Please observe the 25 mph speed limit within our neighborhood, and kindly remind your guests to do the same them!
If you own a dog, please keep your pet leashed when outside and remember to clean up after.
As a community we are responsible for complying with Henry County Code Enforcement
regulations. Here are a few key areas to be aware of:
Proper trash collection and
Erosion control (best management
disposal
practices)
Prohibited discharges (refer to the
Commercial vehicles - parking,
Unified Land Development Code)
keeping or storing
Overgrown or obnoxious
Inoperable or junk motor vehicles -
vegetation (not just tall grass)
parking or storing
Tall grass and weeds
Please take a moment to review these codes to ensure compliance. Any resident may
report violations directly to Henry County Code Enforcement Complaint Hotline:
(770) 288-6200.
May everyone enjoy all the upcoming holidays and do it safely!!

Mulch garden beds and tree bases with 2–3 inches of
organic material. This insulates roots, suppresses weeds,
and helps retain moisture — just keep mulch away from
trunks.
Prune dead or hazardous branches and clean gutters before
winter storms. Avoid heavy shaping until late winter to
prevent stress on dormant plants.
Winterize irrigation systems and protect tender plants. Drain
outdoor lines, disconnect hoses, and use frost cloths or
burlap wraps during cold snaps.

The Henry County Transportation Advisory Group (TAG) is a
citizen-led committee that works with county officials to improve
transportation planning. TAG reviews road conditions, traffic
flow, pedestrian safety, and bike trail development—and they
want to hear from you!
Whether you walk, drive, or cycle through our area, your
feedback helps shape smarter, safer infrastructure for everyone.
Lisa Thurston, a member of TAG, is collecting ideas and
questions from our neighborhood. If you have suggestions or
concerns about local roads or trail access, please share them
with Lisa directly at Lmthurston1@gmail.com. Your voice
matters!
If you are a homeowner in our community, then I challenge
you to walk outside and take a really good look at your
home. I can almost assure you some of your bricks are loose
or there may be cracks in your structure. If that's the case,
then reach out to the brick repairer in our community who
can make all repairs for you. Please contact Mr. Zane
Walker @ (404) 883-0133.
Your Lawn: Recommend you stop watering your grass and
let it go dormant for the winter months and save on your
water usage.
Show respect for your neighbor's property: Let’s be mindful
of where we live - a subdivision. Show respect for your
neighbor's property to the right and left of you. Ensure you
are not infringing on each other’s property rights. If any issue
cannot be resolved, then please call the Henry County Code
Enforcement Office to ensure your rights are protected.
